Sorrento is one of the Italian village where Easter is most conspicuous, the tradition reaches its peak between Thursday and Friday in which each congregation of the Sorrento Peninsula is organizing its procession of hooded. On Thursday evening and the night between Thursday and Friday for the parade routes, processions of hooded white, accompanied by singing women, while Friday night's procession of hooded blacks, accompanied by the liturgical chant of the Miserere.
